MCC NEET UG 2026 Counselling — Round 1 Begins August 1
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will begin NEET UG 2026 Counselling Round 1 on August 1, 2026 at mcc.nic.in. This counselling process allocates All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH seats across government medical colleges, AIIMS, JIPMER, Deemed Universities, and Central institutions.

- All India Quota (AIQ) — 15%: Government medical colleges across India
- AIIMS (all 23 AIIMS): 100% seats via MCC (no state quota)
- JIPMER Puducherry: 100% seats via MCC
- Central Institutions: VMMC Delhi, AFMC Pune, ESI, BHU IMS
- Deemed Universities: 100% seats via MCC (management + NRI separate)
- State Universities: 100% of government seats in Chandigarh, Delhi, J&K
How to Register on mcc.nic.in
- Visit mcc.nic.in → Click "UG Medical Counselling"
- Click "New Candidate Registration"
- Enter NEET UG 2026 Roll Number and other details
- Set password and complete registration
- Pay Registration Fee: ₹1,000 (SC/ST) | ₹5,000 (General/OBC)
- Pay Security Deposit: ₹10,000 (SC/ST) | ₹50,000 (General/OBC) — refundable
- Fill Choice Filling: Select colleges + courses in priority order
- Lock Choices before the deadline
Choice Filling Strategy — Expert Tips
- Fill maximum choices: There is no limit — fill 200–500 choices if needed
- Priority order matters: Put your dream college + course as Choice 1
- Include all government colleges: Even if rank seems low — cutoffs vary each year
- Research previous year cutoffs: Check MCC data from 2023, 2024, 2025
- Include safe options: Add at least 10–15 colleges you are guaranteed to get
- AIIMS strategy: Fill all AIIMS (new + old) — even AIIMS Mangalagiri or Rajkot may surprise you
- Don't skip Deemed Universities if you can afford the fees — they fill via MCC and have good hospitals

- NEET UG 2026 Scorecard / Rank Letter
- Class 10 Mark Sheet + Certificate
- Class 12 Mark Sheet + Certificate
- Transfer Certificate from 12th institution
- Aadhaar Card (original)
- Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) — state government issued
- 8–10 passport-size photographs
- Provisional Allotment Letter (downloaded from MCC)
- Registration fee + Security deposit payment receipt
What Happens After Seat Allotment?
Once MCC allots you a seat on August 15:
- Accept & Freeze: You are happy with this seat — report to college, done
- Accept & Upgrade: Report to college, but remain in pool for a better seat in Round 2
- Reject: You don't want this seat and will try for Round 2 (risk — you may get nothing better)
- Not Reporting: Your security deposit is forfeited and you are removed from counselling
